Mobile Help: iOS Audio Issues
What's happening on iOS?
- RingCentral recommends Chrome or Edge. Support for Safari is limited.
- All iOS browsers use Apple's Safari engine. Thus, using Chrome on iOS does not avoid the limitation.
Recommended solutions
- For the best experience, join from a laptop/desktop using Google Chrome.
- If you must use a phone/tablet, install the RingCentral Events app:
- After installation, open your Magic Link email on your device to launch directly into the event.
- However, the mobile app has limitations:
- You cannot go on stage (no Studio/backstage access or screen sharing) from mobile.
- Some chat threads and Q&A replies may not be visible.
- Networking “Speed Meetings” are not supported.
Fixing “no sound” on iOS
- Increase volume and disable Silent Mode.
- Check Bluetooth; connected headphones/speakers may capture audio.
- iOS Settings → RingCentral Events → allow Microphone/Speaker permissions. If needed, revoke and re-grant permissions.
- Force close and restart the RingCentral Events app.
- Ensure AirPlay or “Screen Mirroring” is off (these can redirect audio).
